Twitter OpenStreetMap
Strava mapping tools

Thanks to all those smart phones, the world has become awash with data. At Strava we have millions of athletes gathering billions of GPS points every week. This data creates a lot of information to not just point out what’s wrong with the map, but how to fix it. Can we develop algorithms to help smart (and impatient?) editors make smart edits?

This talk will give an overview of how we’re using OpenStreetMap at Strava and the tile layers, error detectors, and algorithms we’ve created to help build a better map in the age of #bigdata.
